On behalf of our 2019-2020 PTA board, I would like to welcome you! Whether you’re a returning family, or new to our school, we are happy you’re a part of our Harris team. We are excited to see what this year brings.

As in previous years, our goal remains the same…Build a special needs playground. PTA is not only about raising funds though. We are here to support our children by providing programs, family fun events, and supporting our teachers in every way we can.

As you may already know, joining the PTA does not obligate you to volunteer, and volunteering does not obligate you to join the PTA.

Any amount of time you’re willing to give, we gladly accept. There are no time limits of when you can volunteer. If you’re a working parent, you are more than welcome to contact your child’s teacher for times when they specifically need you. Immediately after school is ok as there is always copying to do. Early mornings are great too, that’s when we are most productive and there are the most work requests.

Our only requirement is that you complete the PISD volunteer background check on the district website. Please go to the following link: .  Once that is completed, you are welcome at the school at any time.
